Three years later
At long last, the day Yun Feng had said the Androids would appear arrived. Goku and the others gathered together, waiting for Yun Feng.
"Dad, where did Big Brother go to train? Why hasn't he come back yet?" Gohan asked.
"Your master is immensely powerful. Maybe he went off to train on his own. Dad doesn't know where Master Yun is, either, but he'll be here soon."
Goku looked at the little boy in Bulma's arms. "Little Trunks, when you grow up, don't be as fierce as Vegeta, okay?"
Bulma was taken aback. "Goku, how do you know Trunks is Vegeta's son? I don't think I ever told you."
Goku had learned it from Yun Feng three years earlier. He hadn't expected to cause such an awkward moment today, so he slapped his forehead and said, "Haha, I'm a Super Saiyan, after all. Having a few special powers is only normal."
Bulma didn't press him any further. Just then, someone flew over, wearing a cloak and a white hat, with a green face... It was Piccolo.
Goku greeted Piccolo warmly. Everyone was there now except Vegeta and Yun Feng. Yamcha, Krillin, Tien Shinhan, Goku and his son, and Piccolo had all gathered to wait.
Suddenly, an explosion rang out on an island to the north. Goku and the others were startled. They had appeared. There was no choice—they would go first instead of waiting.
Everyone flew toward the island. "When we run into the Androids, release your energy to alert the others," Goku said.
Everyone nodded. By the time they reached the island, chaos had already broken out. Flames from the explosions had thrown the civilians into a panic. Goku's aura flared, swelling several times over. "Damn it, those bastards!"
Everyone split up to search for the Androids. Yamcha turned around and spotted three Androids behind him. He was just about to release his energy when the one who looked like an old man flashed over and grabbed him. Yamcha's strength flowed through the old man's hand and into his body.
Goku suddenly sensed Yamcha's energy rapidly fading. He flashed above Yamcha and kicked the old man away, sending the hat flying off his head.
Krillin and the others rushed over. Goku shouted, "Krillin, hurry and give Yamcha a Senzu Bean!"
Goku glared furiously at the three Androids. The old Android spoke up. "So you're Son Goku. We were just about to come looking for you, and here you've come to us. Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Android 20." He pointed at the fat one beside him. "This is Android 19." Then he pointed at the red-bearded giant behind them. "And this is Android 15."
As 20 introduced his companions, Goku and the others' faces darkened. Piccolo suddenly noticed Goku panting. Could it be because he was angry? They had only flown a short distance, and with Goku's strength, he shouldn't be in this condition.
Goku shouted, "You wanted to kill me, didn't you? Then follow me!"
He flew off into the distance. The three Androids exchanged glances. Android 15 nodded, and all three followed.
Before long, they reached an area filled with mountain peaks. "Son Goku, is this where you've chosen to be buried?" Android 20 called out.
Goku didn't answer. He descended, only to see Yun Feng waiting for them on a mountaintop.
Goku exclaimed in delight, "Master, how did you know we'd come here?"
Yun Feng smiled faintly. "It's a secret." Everyone rolled their eyes.
Android 20 stared at Yun Feng for a long while before finally speaking. "Who is this? Our records don't contain anyone by that name."
The others sneered, but no one was kind enough to explain it to 20. His smile immediately froze.
Yun Feng said, "Goku, you'll fight first. Let your master see how much you've improved."
The fat Android 19 slowly stepped forward, wearing an evil grin.
Yun Feng knew Goku's heart condition would flare up here, but he wasn't entirely sure. His arrival had already changed many parts of the story. Still, he had prepared medicine for the Heart Virus. If anything went wrong, he would save Goku immediately.
Goku powered up in an instant. His hair turned golden, and golden flames rose around him. His fighting power surged rapidly, making the ground tremble as waves of terrifying energy spread outward.
A look of alarm appeared on Android 20's face. "What is this? Why isn't it in our records? That unfamiliar kid showed up today, and Son Goku's strength is far beyond what our records said."
Goku flashed forward, his body turning into a blur. When he reappeared, he was behind Android 19, who was looking around. Goku drove an elbow into him, sending him flying.
Android 19 stood up as if nothing had happened. A little oil trickled from the corner of his mouth. Goku charged, and the two began fighting. But the longer they fought, the more Piccolo sensed something was wrong. Goku was panting harder and harder.
Piccolo walked over to Yun Feng. "Mr. Yun Feng, something seems wrong with Goku today."
Yun Feng nodded. "Looks like Goku's heart condition is about to flare up." Piccolo immediately remembered the medicine Trunks had brought three years ago.
Yun Feng called out toward the battlefield, "Goku, come down for now!"
Goku was already gasping for breath. Even the Kamehameha he had just fired had been absorbed by Android 19. As Goku tried to leave the fight, Android 20 blocked the others. "Don't get confused, everyone. You don't make the rules here."
Everyone saw Android 19 gripping Goku by the neck, siphoning his energy into himself bit by bit. Yun Feng couldn't be bothered to argue with Android 20. He flashed past 20's defenses and kicked Android 19 in the face.
Android 19 flew backward and crashed into a mountainside. Yun Feng immediately took out the medicine and gave it to Goku, then turned to the others. "Who'll take Goku back to rest?"
"I'll go," Yamcha said. "My strength won't help much here. And after my encounter with the Androids just now, I'm already a little afraid."
Yun Feng nodded and handed Goku over to Yamcha. He also gave Yamcha a little medicine. The Heart Virus was contagious.
After Yamcha left, Yun Feng looked at Android 19, who was slowly approaching. "Chubby, I'll play with you."
The nickname instantly enraged Android 19. He charged at Yun Feng, who blocked him with one hand, then kicked him flying.
Android 19 stopped in midair and suddenly shouted, "Kamehameha!" A silvery-white energy wave shot toward Yun Feng. He didn't even lift an eyelid, simply waving it aside.
Yun Feng vanished in a flash before everyone's eyes. By the time he reappeared, an energy blast had already struck Android 19. The whole sequence happened so quickly that no one nearby could react. Android 19 was left completely dumbfounded as the blast hit him.
A huge crater formed in the ground. Everyone looked toward it. Just as Yun Feng landed, Android 19 suddenly sprang up and grabbed his arm in a death grip.
"I won't let go! I'll never let go, even if I die!" Android 19 laughed maniacally.
Yun Feng smiled. Android 19 really was stupidly adorable. A terrifying aura burst from Yun Feng, instantly blasting Android 19 away. He couldn't even put up the slightest resistance.
Yun Feng fired a Light Blast. With a boom, Android 19 was reduced to nothing but dust and bone fragments.
Yun Feng looked over at Android 20 and Android 15. Android 20's face grew very grim. He knew his strength was about equal to Android 19's. Wouldn't he be killed just as easily?
Android 20 turned to Android 15 with a pleading look. Android 15 snorted and slowly stepped forward.
