Background / History

Stone Village Sacrificial Spirit

Decades before Shi Hao's arrival, Stone Village's elders witnessed a towering willow tree flickering within a thunder domain above the nine heavens, its crystalline branches battling an unknown entity. By the time Shi Hao arrived, the injured being had taken root at the village entrance as its Sacrificial Spirit. 1

After awakening, the Willow Deity became Stone Village's greatest protector and benefactor. They extracted Golden Divine Liquid from Old Bei's corpse to completely heal Shi Yunfeng's old injuries and advance his cultivation, then concealed the village with a divine formation during the struggle over the Mountain Treasure. 8 18

The Willow Deity later revealed the Supreme Hall inheritance, more than twenty pure-blooded creature precious techniques, and the remains of a Heavenly Deity to Stone Village. They instructed Shi Yunfeng to use these resources to begin the village's rise. 22

Shi Hao's Master

Although the Willow Deity initially stated that they had never accepted a disciple and likely never would, they nevertheless guided Shi Hao from his earliest cultivation. They gave him the first volume of the Original True Interpretation, advised him to pursue ten Cave Heavens, and directed him to merge his twelve Heaven Caves into a unique passage before entering the Void God Realm. 5 12 29 30

Shi Hao formally became their senior disciple after presenting an Immortal Dao Spring Eye, the damaged Chaos Divine Disk, and copies of several Ten Fiends' Precious Techniques. The Willow Deity also named Ge Gu, the True Dragon's son, as Shi Hao's junior brother. 61

Return to the Upper Realms

The Willow Deity repeatedly intervened in major threats to Shi Hao and the Eight Regions. They retrieved the True Phoenix Precious Technique from the Void God Realm, destroyed or repelled Upper Realm giants during the Great Tribulation of the Eight Regions, and later used the Gate of Origin to investigate the Boundary Sea. 33 114 116 126

After receiving the lower volume of the Original True Interpretation from Shi Hao, the Willow Deity agreed to cultivate it as a possible path toward further enlightenment. 127

Divine Court and the Foreign Realm

Having concluded that the Immortal Ancient era failed because its powers lacked unity, the Willow Deity began gathering dependable allies rather than relying on the Immortal Domain. Their objective was to consolidate the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths, establish a Supreme Divine Court, and oppose the Foreign Realm. 247

They recruited Immortal Kings including the Silver Phoenix King, Golden Hou King, and Pixiu King; faced five Immortal Kings alone during the war; and later defeated Ao Sheng, Yuan Chu, and Tai Chu while repelling six additional Immortal Kings. 257 260 276

Appearance

The Willow Deity's main body is a heaven-reaching willow tree rooted at Stone Village's entrance. Its once-charred trunk eventually recovered, producing countless crystalline, tender-green branches filled with life. 81

When manifesting a Dharma form, the Willow Deity appears as a slender, white-clad divine figure surrounded by flames containing kneeling deity phantoms.

Personality

The Willow Deity is composed, ancient, and sparing with words. They treat overwhelming power as ordinary fact rather than a reason for arrogance, and generally show patience toward Shi Hao's persistence and provocations. 5 33 61

Despite their detached bearing, they are deeply protective of Stone Village, Shi Hao, and the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths. They refrain from needless bullying, honor old acquaintances such as the Dragon King and Primordial Vermilion Bird, and seek reliable allies rather than forcing unwilling powers into their cause. 19 34 247 260

They are also a shrewd negotiator. When the weakened Little Tower requested access to the Immortal Spring Eye, the Willow Deity granted it only after securing the artifact's future service. 81

As the Ancestral Sacrificial Spirit, the Willow Deity commands vast sacrificial power and has established three thousand divine kingdoms.
