Put simply: "This guy was fucking stupid—not low-IQ, but genuinely stupid! He died from being stupid, which did humanity a great service by raising its average IQ." ...Well, that was roughly the idea.
Sui Xiong remembered reading a compiled record of Darwin Award winners over the years. Each had met a different fate, but in short, every one of them made people think—holy shit, this idiot dying really did help raise humanity's IQ!
For instance, there was a skydiving instructor who stressed to his students the safety essentials of parachuting. While he was probably emphasizing, "No matter what, make sure your parachute pack is strapped on, or you'll fall to your death," he jumped out of the plane to prove that he was right.
Then there was a man whose sister stepped on an electrical wire and was electrocuted to death. While explaining the incident to his neighbors, he reenacted the scene himself, stepping barefoot onto the unprotected end of that same wire.
Then there was someone who wanted to prove to visitors that the floor-to-ceiling glass windows in his office were extremely sturdy. After taking a running start, he leaped up and slammed into one—his office was on the twenty-fourth floor, and beyond that window was a busy street below—uh, the air above a busy street.
Then there was a gambler playing the infamous deadly game of Russian roulette. Most people would find a revolver, load only one bullet into it, spin the cylinder a few times, and take turns shooting themselves.
