What did an "earth-shattering turn of events" look like? This was it.
As they watched the Lord of Glory suddenly appear, rebuke Chaos while pulling something from Chaos's body, then swallow it in one gulp before the Lord of Order could arrive to stop him, everyone was dumbfounded.
What the hell was going on?
The Lord of Glory rushing over and attacking Chaos—well, that was easy enough to understand. But why did he call Chaos "an old relic that's completely useless now"? And just what was it that he had pulled out of Chaos's body and swallowed?
The Lord of Order's actions, on the other hand, were understandable—whatever it was that the Lord of Glory had swallowed, it certainly couldn't be anything good!
At the very least, for the Lord of Order, the Lord of Glory swallowing that thing undoubtedly meant something extremely bad had happened.
Which raised the question: if this was terrible even for the Lord of Order, a great divine power, then what did it mean for the rest of them, mere powerful divine powers?
The God of Sky and the Goddess of Earth, who had been cautiously on guard all along, were the first to react. Without a word, they turned and ran, retreating with the speed of the wind. Clearly, they had prepared for this long ago.
Once they ran, the other powerful divine powers snapped back to their senses as well. More than one immediately followed, fleeing at top speed.
What a joke! Two great divine powers were likely about to start fighting here again. If they didn't get far away now, were they supposed to wait until they got swept in and turned into cannon fodder?
