History
Internal struggle and reform
The Second and Third Princes’ coup ends in defeat when the Imperial Dragon Soul Engineer Legion returns to defend Xu Tianran. The old emperor abdicates, and Xu Tianran’s subsequent purge strengthens central authority 13 14.
Xu Tianran’s cooperation with the Holy Spirit Cult becomes a source of conflict with Prince Ming and the powers supporting him. After Xu Tianran’s death, Xu Tianyao orders a hunt for Evil Soul Masters and begins the Soul Eradication Operation against the cult’s branches within the Empire 111 121 163 164.
War and unification
The Empire mobilizes its Soul Tool industry for war, producing artillery, vehicles, and fixed-mount projectiles. Mingde Hall also builds Civilization Punisher No. 1, a heavily armed machine whose immense resource cost and short operating time limit its deployment 165.
Xu Tianyao deploys the machine against Dou Ling’s capital, then launches a full-scale invasion of Xingluo. A coalition’s attempt to assassinate him at the imperial palace fails in a prepared trap; Sun Moon armies subsequently take Heaven Dou and Xingluo. Shrek Academy surrenders, leaving the continent under imperial control 165 173 181 183 184 185.
At the unification ceremony, Xu Tianyao renames the country the Ming Empire and adopts a new emblem featuring the sun, moon, and a dragon 185.
Later years
During Xu Tianyao’s five-year seclusion, the Ming Empire dismantles the former kingdoms’ administrations, expands Soul Tool railways and communications, and suppresses rebellions. Kong Deming leads the operation that destroys the Holy Spirit Cult’s stronghold 186.
The Empire later establishes the Sun Moon Spirit Pagoda to develop artificial soul spirits. Star Dou Forest becomes a protected Soul Beast Autonomous Territory, intelligent soul beasts receive legal rights, and indiscriminate slaughter is banned 186. Thousands of years later, a federal parliamentary government replaces the imperial system 186.
