The already devastated landscape became even more riddled with destruction under the force of their increasingly powerful attacks. Mountains collapsed and rivers changed course, as if the apocalypse had arrived. Yet their clash of power continued to grow more frenzied, seemingly without end.
Goku suddenly appeared behind Android 17. His hands moved swiftly as he gathered golden energy, and a huge energy sphere quickly took shape in his palms. It was his signature technique, the Kamehameha. Its dazzling light illuminated the shattered landscape as the sphere roared toward Android 17's back with enough force to destroy the world.
Android 17 sensed the powerful energy surging toward him from behind, and his gaze instantly sharpened. With no time to turn around, he quickly formed a defensive shield around himself. It shimmered with a cold metallic sheen, like an impregnable fortress.
The Kamehameha slammed into Android 17's shield. For a moment, the light was so dazzling that it nearly blinded everyone. The tremendous impact forced Android 17's body forward several steps, carving deep furrows in the ground beneath his feet. Yet the shield stubbornly held against the Kamehameha's force, showing no sign of cracking.
Seeing this, Goku increased his output. Beads of sweat rolled down his forehead, and his face was set with determination. He roared, trying to break through Android 17's defenses with his own strength and find a chance to turn the tide of this grueling battle.
The powerful energy waves from their fierce attacks had traveled a great distance, catching the attention of Android 18, who was wreaking havoc in another city. She stopped what she was doing and turned toward the source of the energy, a playful curve lifting the corner of her mouth. She casually dusted herself off, then flashed away, speeding toward the battlefield where Goku and Android 17 were fighting.
Everywhere Android 18 passed, she left devastation in her wake. She paid no heed to the terrified screams and frantic flight of the people on the streets, casually firing energy blasts that leveled the towering buildings along the roadside. The once-bustling streets turned to ruins in the blink of an eye, smoke and despair hanging over the wreckage. Cars were overturned and engulfed in flames, fire and thick smoke intertwining to form an apocalyptic scene. Android 18 seemed to relish the chaos and destruction, madness glinting in her eyes as she raced toward the battlefield, poised to add even more uncertainty to an already fierce fight.
As Android 18 drew closer, Goku and Android 17 sensed her presence. Goku's heart sank. Facing another enemy this powerful would make an already difficult situation even worse. But his gaze remained resolute, and he showed no hint of retreat. After clashing energy blasts with Android 17, he used the force to leap backward and put some distance between them, warily watching both directions.
Android 17 looked toward the direction Android 18 was coming from, a faint smile flickering across his face, as if he were looking forward to something. When Android 18 arrived, she first surveyed the devastation around them, then fixed her gaze on Goku, a hint of provocation in her eyes.
"I didn't expect you to hold your own against Android 17 like this. But today, you're both going to die," Android 18 said coldly. Her energy began to rise, and the air around her grew restless under the pressure of her power.
Goku took a deep breath and composed himself, preparing to face this even graver challenge. He rapidly weighed his options, images of past battles and techniques flashing through his mind as he searched for a way out of this predicament.
As Android 18 drew near, Goku felt a restless unease stirring within him. With another enemy on the field, the situation had grown even more perilous. Yet even when he saw Android 18 arrive, he didn't attack. He simply watched her every move with caution.
Android 18 slowly descended beside Android 17 and looked Goku up and down before giving him a cold smile. "What's wrong, the great Son Goku? You're afraid to move now that I'm here?" she taunted. Goku took a deep breath and ignored her provocation, his mind racing as he considered how to deal with them both.
Android 17 spoke up. "Sis, this guy's a bit troublesome, but he won't last much longer." Android 18 snorted disdainfully. "Then hurry up and finish him off. Don't waste time here." Android 17 muttered, "Mind your own business!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Android 17 flashed forward and charged at Goku, moving like lightning. Goku calmly planted his feet and tensed his arms, blocking Android 17's barrage of punches. Their fists and feet clashed, each collision producing a muffled thud as the air around them shuddered under the force.
Goku suddenly spun and kicked at Android 17's head. Android 17 quickly leaned back to dodge, then punched straight at Goku's stomach. Goku curled his abdomen midair to avoid the blow, then swiftly formed a hand stance and shouted, "Kamehameha Wave!" A dazzling blue beam shot from his hands, racing toward Android 17.
Android 17's eyes narrowed. He quickly crossed his arms in front of his chest, forming a defensive barrier that blocked the Kamehameha's impact. The energy beam scraped against the barrier with a sizzling sound, and the immense energy spread outward, completely destroying the few remaining walls around them.
Taking advantage of Android 17's distraction as he blocked the Kamehameha Wave, Goku used Instant Transmission to appear behind him. He clenched both fists, raised them high, and brought them down hard. Sensing the attack from behind, Android 17 dodged to the side and kicked at Goku's waist. Goku reacted quickly, caught Android 17's leg, and hurled him away with a powerful swing.
Android 17 adjusted his position in midair and landed steadily. He dusted himself off and sneered. "Son Goku, is that all you've got?" Goku didn't answer. His gaze only grew more resolute. He knew this battle had only just begun.
Then Android 17 said that all of that had just been a warm-up, and that the real fight was only starting now~
