Watching Wang Shen's broad back, Android 18 felt a warm current flow through her heart.
She wasn't afraid of Vegeta, but this was the first time in all these years that she'd experienced what it felt like to be protected.
It was strangely reassuring.
Android 17 tilted his head and stared at Wang Shen in confusion.
He'd helped them escape from Dr. Gero.
And now he'd openly declared that he would protect him and his sister.
What did this man really want?
Wang Shen met Vegeta's fierce gaze and said righteously:
"Vegeta, they're not the evil androids you imagine them to be. I won't let you lay a hand on them."
"They're ordinary people who were also victimized by Dr. Gero."
Piccolo, Krillin, and the others were astonished.
"Is that so?"
They looked at Android 17 and Android 18, seriously considering whether Wang Shen's words were true.
They hoped he was telling the truth.
Seeing Android 18's stunning face and graceful figure, Krillin immediately believed Wang Shen.
"Maybe that Saiyan's telling the truth. They really don't look like bad people."
Piccolo, who knew what she was really like, was at a loss for words.
Android 18 simply rolled her eyes at Krillin, her look full of contempt.
"Hmph, I don't care about any of that!"
Vegeta looked extremely impatient. He shoved Trunks aside as he tried to stop him and snapped:
"If they're androids, then I'm going to fight them and defeat them!"
As he spoke, Vegeta cast an irritated glance at Trunks beside him.
His own son.
He actually kept saying they should wait until Kakarot recovered from his heart disease before defeating the androids.
Wasn't that just saying that he, the Saiyan Prince, was no match for Kakarot, that low-class warrior?
As a transmigrator, Wang Shen naturally knew what Vegeta wanted.
But he still replied calmly:
"Vegeta, you're no match for them. Don't act rashly or make this conflict worse."
Early in Dragon Ball, Vegeta really was a troublesome factor.
If Vegeta refused to listen, Wang Shen wouldn't mind turning him into Super Vegeta.
"What did you say!?"
Vegeta glared furiously at Wang Shen.
The Saiyan Prince couldn't stand hearing things like that!
"Karotis, I'm a Super Saiyan now, one of the legendary warriors of our people!"
"Maybe Kakarot can't beat the androids, but I, the Saiyan Prince, will defeat them with my own hands!"
Boom!
A fierce wave of energy burst outward!
Vegeta transformed into a Super Saiyan.
Golden flames blazed around him, radiating a chilling, intimidating aura.
"Karotis, if you don't get out of the way, I'll beat you up too!"
Vegeta advanced on Wang Shen with an imposing air, trying to make him back down.
Wang Shen smiled.
He remained unruffled in the face of Vegeta's imposing presence.
But Android 18, standing behind Wang Shen, couldn't hold back. She stepped forward and said coldly:
"Vegeta is far too arrogant. If he wants a fight, I'll teach him a lesson!"
As Android 18 was about to attack, a thick arm blocked her.
Wang Shen shook his head and said:
"Vegeta, as you wish. I hope you won't regret it."
Vegeta gave a wicked smile.
In truth, more than fighting the androids, he wanted to fight Karotis.
To prove that he was the strongest Saiyan!
However.
Just as he was about to say something, his expression suddenly changed!
Wang Shen rushed toward him at lightning speed and threw a punch with terrifying force!
Even the air exploded!
Vegeta hurriedly raised his crossed arms to block.
Thud!
Wang Shen had put a little effort into that punch.
It sent Vegeta flying out of the laboratory and far into the distance, until he disappeared from sight.
Just as Wang Shen was about to step out after him,
he suddenly turned back to Android 18, a faint smile on his lips.
"Go ahead and release Android 16. Then wait for me to come back."
Whoosh!
Wang Shen's figure vanished from the laboratory in an instant.
Just as when he had arrived, no one saw how he left.
"His... his power is terrifying!"
Piccolo, Tien Shinhan, and Krillin were horrified.
Even Son Goku probably wouldn't be a match for him.
Vegeta hadn't even been able to withstand one of his punches.
"Dad's going to be okay, right?"
Trunks said anxiously.
Android 18 gazed in the direction Wang Shen had gone, her eyes glimmering with a strange light!
She liked this feeling.
Creak!
Android 17, however, had no time to focus on that. He took the opportunity to open the hatch that had sealed Android 16 inside.
"What!?"
Trunks was horrified.
"I won't let you release that android!"
Golden flames erupted around him. He brought his hands together, and a shock wave burst forth!
"Ah!"
Vegeta was still flying uncontrollably, his arms numb and almost completely devoid of sensation.
Whoosh!
Wang Shen abruptly appeared in Vegeta's path and reached out to catch him.
"Vegeta, how are you? Still want to fight?"
Vegeta immediately pulled away from Wang Shen's hand and flashed dozens of meters away, furious.
"Don't get cocky, Karotis!"
Vegeta vigorously shook his arms, his face full of defiance.
"That was only because I let my guard down and you caught me by surprise."
Wang Shen smiled and said nothing.
It was hard to forget who'd just been flying through the air and couldn't stop.
When Vegeta saw the look on Wang Shen's face, like he wanted to laugh but was holding it in, his veins immediately bulged.
He clenched his fists and hunched forward, gathering power throughout his body.
A fiercer aura erupted, radiating tremendous pressure.
By comparison, Wang Shen looked frail and completely harmless, with only his flowing golden hair making him seem extraordinary.
He didn't need another transformation.
He didn't need to unleash his aura just for a fight.
His base form was already that of a Super Saiyan.
His body was constantly ready for battle!
That was the advantage of Full Power!
"Come on, Vegeta. Give it everything you've got. Don't hold back. You'll only get one chance to strike first."
Now that they'd decided to fight, Wang Shen hoped Vegeta would at least make it enjoyable.
He needed to finish this quickly; he was still looking forward to going back to Android 18.
"Karotis, you're just as annoying as you were when we were kids!"
Vegeta cursed and charged at Wang Shen, attacking with all his might.
He threw a powerful straight punch, its sonic boom resounding as it shot toward Wang Shen's face.
Wang Shen's ever-present smile irritated him.
Now he hated both of the only two Saiyans whose names began with "Ka."
"Going straight for my handsome face. That's cold."
Wang Shen teased him, still not taking Vegeta's attack seriously.
As Vegeta's attack came in, a cold gust of force stung Wang Shen's face.
Wang Shen simply reached out one hand and easily caught Vegeta's powerful strike.
"What!?"
Vegeta's pupils shrank. His face filled with disbelief.
"That's impossible!"
He couldn't accept it.
Wang Shen moved Vegeta's fist aside. Watching his face twist, he remarked:
"Not bad. You've only just become a Super Saiyan, and you're already this strong."
"I don't think Son Goku was this powerful on Namek."
"Shut up! Stop spouting nonsense!"
Vegeta roared.
Wang Shen tensed his wrist, grabbed Vegeta's fist, and spun him through a full seven hundred and twenty degrees.
Then he flung him away again.
Vegeta was too arrogant. He hadn't bothered to look closely at Wang Shen's condition or notice how it differed from his own Super Saiyan form.
Otherwise, he wouldn't have ended up in such a sorry state.
