Yagami had just declared that he would kill them, yet instead of calling the police, the school had security guards drag him away. There were security guards at the school, of course, but none with that kind of oppressive presence.
And none of those three guards had ever been seen before.
It seemed someone was still protecting Yagami.
This was truly unpleasant for Ryuen. Just when he had become familiar with the rules of this school, he had suddenly come into contact with the rules of society, on an entirely different level.
It made him feel small. All his experience in fighting had been completely useless this time.
But he did not think he had been wrong.
Violence alone could not determine every victory.
So in the end, the winner would still be him.
"Basically!" Ryuen summed up. "It was all Hachiman Hikigaya's doing. He never said Yagami Takuya's individual combat ability would be this high!"
"He even said there were reinforcements, but they only showed up after we'd all been beaten senseless!"
As Ryuen thought this, he recalled what had happened an hour earlier.
The Cultural Festival was drawing to a close, and some students from his class had gone to watch the gymnasium performance put on jointly by Hachiman and the first-years.
Ryuen, meanwhile, had remained in his own classroom.
The school had not been announcing each class's project revenue in real time.
Ryuen had also arranged for someone to keep an eye on it. Every hour, the school would visit the students' stalls to gather information.
And they only checked the projects that had been submitted before the Cultural Festival began.
In other words, spur-of-the-moment ideas or plans changed midway through would not be recognized. Even if they made sales and earned revenue, it would not count.
