A long while passed.

Lei Zhan set down the book he had been holding.

"Master."

"Senior Yellow-Haired Great Bear."

Lei Zhan stood up and looked toward his master, Immortal Juhua, and the Yellow-Haired Great Bear standing to the side.

"Hm. Not bad!" Immortal Juhua nodded with satisfaction. "You have now entered the threshold of the Dao of Kan Water. If you integrate it into your spear arts, your strength will increase even further."

Lei Zhan nodded. The spear art created by Red Snow Celestial God was designed to guide cultivators toward slowly comprehending multiple Daos, but profound techniques were inherently mysterious and did not always require a step-by-step approach.

He was destined to walk his own path and comprehend his own "Red Snow" spear art; integrating something like the Dao of Kan Water was only natural.

"Lei Zhan." Immortal Juhua looked at his only disciple. "During your travels in the North Dark Sea this time, did you obtain anything unusual?"

"Hm?" Lei Zhan paused, as if something had just occurred to him.

"After I returned to the Water Mansion, I noticed that a strange object I had accidentally acquired seemed abnormal. I was just about to bring it out for Master and Senior Great Bear to examine."

As he spoke, Lei Zhan flipped his hand, and a token covered in cracks appeared. The token was broken, only about a third the size of a standard one, and appeared to be made of bronze, yet it radiated a faint, ancient aura.

The token in Lei Zhan's hand began to tremble incessantly, emitting a soft glow.

"It really is this thing!" Immortal Juhua smiled faintly. With a thought, a matching piece of a broken bronze token appeared out of thin air.

However, this broken piece was slightly larger than the one in Lei Zhan's hand; it looked as if two fragments, broken to different degrees, were automatically pulling toward each other.

"When I was still at the level of a Primordial Spirit Daoist, I accidentally obtained a small fragment of this token in a minor world."

Immortal Juhua said leisurely, "If it hadn't been for the fact that the aura it radiated resembled that of a cave-dwelling talisman, I might have tossed it aside."

"Later, after I became a Loose Immortal, I obtained another piece in this North Dark Sea, guided by the fragment I already held, which resulted in its current appearance."

"This..." Lei Zhan looked at his master, Immortal Juhua. "Since this token can sense its own parts, why didn't Master continue searching? If it is similar to a cave-dwelling token and radiates such an ancient aura, it must be a great opportunity."

Immortal Juhua shook his head.

"Opportunities are not so easily obtained. Luck, destiny, and many other factors all play a role in whether one can seize such a chance."

"I searched for millions of years and only found two pieces. The one you obtained must have been in the North Dark Sea, yet in all my years here, I felt absolutely nothing."

Destiny was a difficult thing to explain.

It was invisible and intangible, yet it undeniably existed.

Those with great destiny were favored by the heavens. Even a mortal might stumble upon a heaven-defying treasure through sheer luck! They might even give a bowl of water to an old man who turns out to be a great power within the Three Realms.

Lei Zhan felt helpless; the concept of destiny was indeed unreasonable.

Immortal Juhua waved his hand, and the assembled fragments in the air flew into Lei Zhan's hand.

"Wu... Golden Crow?" Immortal Juhua identified it carefully.

There were two characters of Gods and Devils script on the token. The "Wu" character had become clear and complete, while the other was slightly blurred. However, upon closer inspection, one could faintly discern the ancient character for "Gold"!

"Golden Crow?" Lei Zhan was also stunned. Could this be a cave-dwelling token left behind by someone of the Golden Crow clan?

Yet, from ancient times to the present, only eleven Golden Crows had ever appeared in the public eye.

In the ancient Pangu World, the ten Golden Crows brought disaster and were shot down by Hou Yi, leaving only one who became the current Golden Crow Dao Ancestor.

Later, after the Three Realms were born, another Golden Crow was born from the supreme star, the Sun Star, but he was taken in as a disciple by Patriarch Bodhi.

Lei Zhan recalled the information in his memory, his thoughts racing. "Could it be... the cave-dwelling ruins encountered by that Golden Crow Immortal of later generations?"

"Juhua. Lei Zhan." The Yellow-Haired Great Bear said sternly, "Anything involving the Golden Crow clan is never simple! Judging by the aura of this token, it is highly likely to be from the ancient era. But in the ancient era, the Great God Hou Yi became famous for shooting down the ten Golden Crows. The youngest one was protected by Goddess Nuwa and escaped with his life, eventually becoming a Dao Ancestor..."

"Though I do not know how this ended up here... for you two, this is both a great opportunity and a great trouble."

"Hm." Lei Zhan nodded. If this truly was the cave-dwelling from his memories... at least the Fisherman Youth who possessed the Golden Crow egg had safely grown to the Void Refinement level.

Trouble might not necessarily follow.

"Lei Zhan, you keep this token for now! I have no use for it, but you still have many possibilities!" Immortal Juhua smiled faintly.

Baili Changfeng sat before a massive long table, yet his mind was not on these brilliant and beautiful songs and dances.

"Young Master." A servant in green robes wove through the many maidservants, his gaze not daring to linger on them for even a moment, as he hurried to Baili Changfeng's side.

"Mm." Baili Changfeng nodded indifferently.

"The information you asked me to inquire about, Young Master, has been delivered by Tianbao Mountain," the servant in green said, then took a bamboo scroll from his storage magic treasure.

"Place it on the table," Baili Changfeng said.

"Yes." The servant in green respectfully placed the bamboo scroll on the table, quickly spread it out, and then slowly retreated.

"Hm?" Baili Changfeng swept his gaze over the bamboo scroll before him, then froze.

"Brother Lei Zhan, your strength is becoming increasingly formidable," Baili Changfeng exclaimed in admiration. "To think that in less than half an hour, you consecutively slew a Wanxiang-stage perfected Water-Splitting White Shark Great Demon and six other Wanxiang-level Great Demons."

Over these past three years, Lei Zhan had naturally returned to North Sea Commandery City from time to time to exchange the treasures he had obtained for Essence Liquid.

Because Baili Changfeng had hosted him many times, and Lei Zhan remembered the favor of being gifted information, they had naturally grown quite familiar through their interactions. At the very least, they could be considered friends with compatible personalities.

"Tsk! After going to Tianbao Mountain to exchange for nearly ten thousand catties of Essence Liquid, he returned to Qianqiu Island?" Baili Changfeng was somewhat puzzled.
