But the Fifth Elder utterly detested Sikong Jing's attitude...

But they could have gained two fully conquered ferocious beast souls for nothing, only for Ling Jianxing to remind Ling Yitian with a single sentence, allowing her to unseal and release them—after which he destroyed them.
And Ling Yitian had nearly been killed by him as well. He was being too damned disobedient.
Faced with the Fifth Elder's threat, Sikong Jing merely shrugged...
"Fine. If you won't let me take revenge, there's no point in my staying alive."
But Sikong Jing immediately added, "Of course, I repaired only twenty percent of the Break Nine Heavens Army-Slaying Formation, and it already possessed such immense power. I've also repaired forty percent of the damaged ancient texts on the nineteenth floor of the Scripture Repository. If you can bear to part with that... then kill me."
