"Damn, that's a lot of bodies!"

Andy gasped and looked around, immediately going on alert.

But Xu Feng noticed something strange and motioned for her not to act rashly.

The bodies had not decayed. They looked as though they were merely asleep, or had died only recently, and each radiated an almost tangible pressure.

On closer inspection, though, the bodies had faintly merged with their surroundings.

Dust covered both their armor and the weapons scattered around them.

The bodies varied in size. Some were humanoid; others belonged to distinctly inhuman races.

Some still wore armor made of an unidentifiable material. Others had only half a body left, their severed ends charred black in an unnaturally precise way.

Most, however, had not decayed and remained nearly intact.

Xu Feng lightly probed the position of one body with his mental power.

That tiny touch sent a buzz through his mind, followed by a crushing pressure and a fear that rose from the depths of his soul.

It was the fear a lesser being felt before a greater one!

"These bodies are almost all Radiant God Ninth Rank," Xu Feng said, disbelief chilling his voice. "The ones at the center seem to be Domain God-level experts. And they've been dead for many years."

All three fell silent for a moment before slowly approaching the bodies.

Xu Feng moved toward one at the outer edge and examined it closely.

It was a humanoid creature about three meters tall.

Its skin was reddish brown, and it wore a black armored robe that had weathered into tatters. A round wound the size of a fist pierced its chest.

The blood around the wound had long since dried into dark red powder. The opening itself was remarkably neat, as though something cylindrical had passed straight through it.
