"Are you planning to forge your main weapon with this stone?" Saina asked, biting into an egg pancake.
"No rush." Su Li sat back down beside the stone table. "The fire-element ether inside this stone is too violent. I'll need some supplementary materials to neutralize it."
"What materials?"
"That fire-element meteorite iron I saw at the dwarves' display booth last night." Su Li tapped the table. "Its circuits are naturally formed, so it can serve perfectly as a buffer."
Saina curled her lip. "Didn't that old dwarf say it was for display only, not for sale?"
"There's nothing in this world that can't be bought. It just depends on whether your bargaining chip is big enough." Su Li grabbed the half-eaten pancake from earlier. "I'll head to the black market later and ask a few middlemen about the meteorite iron's base price."
Elena came downstairs in an exceptionally sharp black leather outfit. She walked over and reached for an egg pancake on the plate.
Saina rapped the back of her hand with her chopsticks.
"Go wash your hands! You just got up and you're already grabbing food!"
"I washed them upstairs!" Elena retorted, forcibly snatching a pancake from the plate.
"You call that washing your hands? You didn't even touch water!"
"I'm a third-rank knight. Dust doesn't stick to me!"
Su Li had become completely immune to this sort of daily bickering. He wolfed down the pancake in a few bites and stood up.
"I'm heading out. You two stay home and don't run around."
"Where are you going?" Elena asked through a mouthful of pancake.
"To clock in at the Elven Merchant Association, then take a stroll through the black market." Su Li brushed the grease spots from his clothes.
"Come back early!" Saina shouted at his retreating back.
