Ice God's Ruins

"Snow Empress, Ice God's Ruins are located at the place where you were born."

Qian Yufeng had already examined the terrain map provided by the system. It marked the place in the Far North where the Ice God had fallen.

That place was where Snow Empress had first been born.

"What?!" Snow Empress found it hard to believe that Ice God's Ruins had been buried beneath her birthplace.

Why had she not sensed anything at all after all these years?!

"Human, you aren't lying, are you?!" Ice Empress also looked utterly unconvinced.

Ice Empress hurried after Snow Empress. This was a rare sight indeed.

About half an hour later, led by Snow Empress, they arrived at her birthplace.

This place lay at the center of the Far North. While blizzards raged everywhere else, it was exceptionally calm here.

She then asked, "Human, you said Ice God's Ruins are here. How do we enter?"

Twenty seconds later, a gate hidden within the world of ice and snow appeared.

There was a short flight of stairs leading down to the gate.

Snow Empress's eyes widened. How had she never discovered this entrance?!

Qian Yufeng looked at the Ice and Snow Emperors and said, "Let's go."

He slowly walked down, and Snow Empress and Ice Empress followed.

As he approached, Qian Yufeng noticed that the pattern carved upon the gate looked somewhat familiar.

Ice Empress exclaimed in surprise, "Sister, why is your portrait carved on this?"

Qian Yufeng looked at Snow Empress and compared her with the pattern. It really did resemble a snow woman.

"There is no key for this gate. The key to opening it may lie with you, Snow Empress."

"Try using your power to push it open!"

Hearing this, Snow Empress walked before the gate and stretched out both hands.

However, the instant she touched the gate, she felt an inexplicable sense of familiarity.

With a slight exertion of her hands, she pushed the gate open!

Snow Empress said nothing and walked straight through the gate. Qian Yufeng and Ice Empress slowly followed her inside.

Two enormous ice statues appeared ahead. After examining them carefully, Qian Yufeng realized they were Titan Giants, a species that had already gone extinct!

Though they were ice statues, their fierce, glaring expressions could still be seen.

At chest height on the two statues grew a pure white snow lotus.

Qian Yufeng's eyesight was sharp, and he spotted a door near the snow lotus.

"What are these statues? Their build is rather similar to A-Tai's!" Ice Empress said curiously, her eyes studying the two ice statues.

"These are Titan Giants, creatures that have vanished from the continent. It seems the legends of the Titan Snow Demon King clan are true," Qian Yufeng said. This counted as a bit of historical archaeology.

"These two statues feel as though they are alive," Snow Empress suddenly said.

Qian Yufeng and Ice Empress exchanged a glance and examined the ice statues again, but found nothing unusual.

Snow Empress continued forward and told them, "Don't come over yet. Wait until I've confirmed it's safe!"

When she arrived between the two ice statues, she instantly felt as if someone were watching her.

Looking up, it seemed that the two ice statues were staring at her.

Suddenly, the two ice statues shot out beams of red light. Ice Empress was shocked and hurriedly cried, "Sister, be careful!"

Snow Empress seemed not to hear her and stood there in a daze.

After the red light enveloped Snow Empress, her vision blurred, and she saw an intensely fierce battle.

A gigantic claw instantly slaughtered a group of huge, powerful creatures.

They stared unyieldingly at that claw. Even as they fell, they showed not the slightest fear; instead, their eyes gleamed with soaring fighting spirit.

"I am the Titan General under the Ice God, ordered to guard Ice God's Inheritance!"

"In tens of thousands of years, you are the first to arrive here!"

The battle scene vanished, and a man in armor, three meters tall, appeared two meters before Snow Empress.

"Senior, I am the Heavenly Snow Woman. I have come in search of Ice God's Inheritance!"

"Heavenly Snow Woman..." The man seemed to recall something, then said in surprise, "After tens of thousands of years, a life form sharing the same origin as Lord Ice God has appeared once more."

Snow Empress had originally prepared herself to undergo a trial, but at this moment, she did not know what to say.

After a moment of silence, she said, "I will never disgrace the Ice God's name. I will protect the living beings of the world of ice and snow!"

The man smiled. "Good. The Ice God's fall was a sudden event. Once you inherit the Ice God's position, you will understand the causes and consequences."

Ice Empress looked at Snow Empress, who stood motionlessly in place, worry showing in her eyes. "Human, is Sister all right?"

"She should be fine. Snow Empress's expression has not changed at all," Qian Yufeng said.
