The East Blade Fleet streaked toward the coordinates of outpost K-77-JHD-93441 at full speed, like lightning tearing through the void.
Lin Yi stood before the main control console and took a deep breath. Then he issued an order over the fleet-wide broadcast:
"Attention, everyone. This is Lin Yi. Once we reach the battlefield, all Stardust Rank members will remain with the fleet and assist in operating the warships. Star Core Level members will form combat teams and deploy outside the ships to fight according to plan."
His voice paused for a moment, then grew more serious. "Vice Commander Irelia will remain aboard the North Wind and oversee the situation and command the fleet. Unless someone faces imminent death, she will not intervene in your battles, even if you are gravely injured."
A faint stir passed through the communications channel.
"I know this is cruel."
Lin Yi continued, "But the Star Sea battlefield has never been a safe haven. The savagery of the Alien Race is far beyond your imagination."
"Today, with powerful fighters standing by, I'm having you use the blood of these Kunmo to learn their fighting styles and hone your instincts for battle."
"In the future, when you face them alone, or fight on a larger battlefield where the powerful are restricted and can't protect you, the experience you've bought with blood will be your greatest asset for survival!"
"This battle isn't for merit or reward. It's for survival! Is that clear?"
"Clear, Commander!"
After a brief silence, a unified roar erupted through the channel.
"Good." Lin Yi nodded, then turned to Irelia. "Aili, I'm leaving it to you. Keep a careful eye on things."
A complicated look flashed through Irelia's ice-blue eyes.
After all, she hadn't let the mercenary corps suffer a single casualty during this time.
