Several severely damaged sections resembled savage wounds, exposing the internal structure, where intermittent electrical sparks flickered.
Rescue craft dragged larger shipwrecks toward the recovery site, trailing long, narrow blue flames.
More engineering drones, like metal locusts, covered the damaged surfaces, welding and repairing them without pause, adding a hint of busy life to this silent battlefield.
Irelia's figure quietly appeared beside Lin Yi.
Her Spirit Race-style light armor remained perfectly still in the vacuum, and the skirt-like armor plates didn't ripple at all.
Her icy blue eyes first swept over the patch of space where the Kunmo Star Nebula and Bone Saw Warblade had been reduced to fundamental particles. Only the faintest traces of residual energy disturbance remained, proof that a Star Vortex Rank powerhouse had been completely annihilated.
Then her gaze settled on Lin Yi's slightly pale face.
"Commander." Irelia hesitated, then said, "That last strike nearly drained all your Source Energy in an instant. In a situation where we didn't have full control of the battlefield, it was a little... a little risky."
Lin Yi turned to look at Irelia, a trace of surprise flashing through his mind.
