At that moment, however, an unusual gravity hung over a pure white hall floating above a sea of light in the Ancestral Court's central region.

Beneath the throne in the center of the hall, where mists of light swirled, a Spirit Race deity in a pale golden robe bowed slightly. A gentle halo obscured his face, and his tone was solemn.
He was Iser, the "Inspector," responsible for monitoring the movements of promising young talents among the races of the Pan-Spirit Alliance. He reported directly to Lord Radiance, who was in charge of this year's Genius Tournament.
Upon the throne, Lord Radiance's figure was shrouded in a hazy glow that seemed to be made of countless tiny feathers of light. Only his tall, slender outline was faintly discernible.
He did not speak, merely gesturing for Iser to continue.
"It concerns that Human Race genius, Lin Yi, who was exceptionally added to the Registry."
Iser did not dare delay. He quickly reported, "In the latest predictions of the top seeded contestants released by the Star Sea Observer team, he was ranked sixteenth. However, the accompanying evaluation and analysis warrant our attention."
As he spoke, he raised a hand and tapped the air. A screen unfurled before the throne, displaying the predicted rankings and the detailed analysis of Lin Yi.
The comments "suspected of having touched the threshold of Life and Death but not yet fully integrated" and "may be concealing some of his abilities" were specially highlighted.
