Meanwhile, at Small Nest No. 1 in the western suburbs.
Its reaction was far stronger than that of the Micro Nest.
The purple-black Vortex suddenly began spinning much faster, and the red Blood Layer patterns along its edge flared brightly.
With an enraged tiger's roar, a massive shadow took shape within the Vortex and lunged out of the Nest.

"Monitoring Center reporting. Monitoring Center reporting."
Zhang Weidong kept his eyes fixed on the detection screen as if they were welded to it. He quickly relayed the monitoring information to the front line over the military radio. Zhang Weidong's brow furrowed at once. Leaning forward slightly, he sharply scanned the monitoring data on the secondary screen.
Zhao Tan spoke at a rapid clip. "Micro Nest sites 1, 2, and 4 have each registered a high-intensity Source Energy signal. The readings are stable. 1,900. Identified as Leader Rank units!"
He paused, and his next report carried unprecedented gravity.
"Small Nest No. 1 has registered an extremely high-intensity Source Energy signal. The reading is 17,900! Identified as a high-threat Leader Rank unit.
