Background

Tang Chen was the missing former Sect Master of the Clear Sky Sect and the hereditary Clear Sky Douluo. His son Tang Hao believed him dead until the Sky Screen selected Tang Chen as a third-batch Explorer, revealing that he was still alive. Tang Hao remembered him as an overwhelmingly powerful figure, while Tang Xiao recognized him as his grandfather 52 57.

Before his selection, Tang Chen was trapped in Slaughter City and mentally corrupted by the Blood-Red Nine-Headed Bat King. The entity’s influence drove him toward madness, violence, and uncontrollable killing intent. Tang Chen expends all his Soul Rings in a final Great Sumeru Hammer attack. Though he fails to defeat Thor and falls unconscious, the exertion drains the Bat King’s immediate control over his mind 67.

Captivity and Exchange with the Extreme Martial Arts Hall
