Against the Epidemic, Part Ten—Final Part
Preface
Another clear day,
I awoke,
and learned
Gansu had zero cases.
My spirits surged,
so I wrote a poem
to remember the past.
From Mid-Autumn
to early winter,
what we experienced
was more than a change in the weather.
Before our solemn eyes,
it was plainly
the end of a battle.
I felt
that today's zero cases
were no coincidence,
but the inevitable result
of the epidemic situation finally settling down!
For over a month,
Gansu's medical workers
fought day and night.
The people of Gansu,
united as one,
overcame every obstacle.
Only then
could we find true peace.
Salute
to the lovely people of Gansu!
Keep it up,
Gansu!
I thought
that we, back then,
had never imagined
that one day
we would experience it firsthand.
Only now
did I understand its dangers.
Salute
to our fellow Chinese in Huaxia.
May tomorrow
shine brighter!
Hand in hand,
may we live up to our youth.
Keep it up,
China!
