Phil Coulson and Melinda May finally arrived at the traffic monitoring center. Chief George Stacy greeted them with a grim expression. "I've received the report. Jerry's death was brutal, and you two bear significant responsibility."

"Yes, Chief Stacy, we do have some responsibility, but he did have issues, wouldn't you agree?" Phil Coulson retorted.

"Yes, he had issues. So, what now?" Chief George Stacy was asking what should be done.

"Let's see if our people and Mr. Tony Stark have gotten a lead on the target. Also, I hope the NYPD can detain Roy first, and contact the Los Angeles police to detain Jack," Phil Coulson said. Their objective was actually the technology, and it would be best to apprehend the other two suspects as well. That way, one of the clues would eventually lead to the technician or team behind it all.

Roy was still in the hospital, and his son arrived from school to visit him. "Dad, will Mom get better?"

"She will. This hospital has a new doctor who is said to be quite skilled, though he seems very young. Once your mother's test results are out, he'll tell us when the surgery can be performed." Roy patted his son's shoulder. "Also, don't worry about things here. Study hard and get into a good school. This is your chance to change your destiny, understand?"

"I understand!"

At that moment, the hospital room door opened, and a young doctor entered, holding a CT scan film in his hand. "The results are in. The tumor hasn't grown or spread. The situation is very good. I'm confident I can remove it completely. If you continue with proper treatment and care afterward, it won't recur for at least fifteen years."

"Really?" Roy asked incredulously.

"Of course. Although I'm young, my skills are recognized here. Please trust my judgment, sir." The young doctor was full of confidence.

"I apologize, Dr. Stephen Strange. I didn't mean it that way. We've heard about your skills, which is why we sought you out." Roy quickly apologized.

"Very well, prepare for surgery. The fees you've paid are sufficient for the procedure, but post-operative recovery will require substantial funds. Is that alright?" Dr. Stephen Strange reminded them, as the father and son before him did not look like wealthy individuals based on their attire.

"Of course, there are no problems. My friends and I just made a lot of money from our investment company. We have enough for medical expenses. Please proceed with the treatment and arrange my wife's surgery as soon as possible. She's been suffering for a long time."

"Excellent. Someone will be here to conduct her pre-operative examination and preparation today. I will perform the surgery tomorrow. The success rate is very high, so you can rest assured." With that, Stephen Strange left the room.

Closing the door, Stephen Strange chuckled. "Another successful surgery awaits!" He had that confidence. His learning ability was exceptional, but he was too proud and his interpersonal relationships were a mess. He only got along well with one female doctor from his cohort due to work, but he didn't care about that.

The NYPD was very efficient. While Stephen Strange was happily standing outside the room, police officers quickly approached him. "Doctor, please let us pass."

Stephen Strange looked at them, puzzled. "What's the matter? There's a brain tumor patient in here. She's scheduled for surgery tomorrow. Your presence could very well affect her state. I must be responsible for my patient." The young doctor didn't move aside. Instead, he shifted his body to block the door to the room. He wouldn't allow anything that might affect his surgery to happen.

"There's a suspect in a major case inside. We need to take him away." The police officers frowned, but they had no intention of forcing their way in. First, there was a seriously ill patient inside. Second, this was a private hospital and a very reputable one.

"A warrant!" Stephen Strange directly extended his hand.

"I'm sorry, he's only a suspect at the moment. We need him to cooperate with the investigation. This is every citizen's obligation."

"So, Mr. Roy inside doesn't need to cooperate with you? Then please step back. I will ask him to come out and hear his opinion. Also, his wife is about to undergo major surgery tomorrow. I don't think he'll cooperate with you. Please step back, and refrain from any rash actions. If the patient is affected, the hospital will not bear any responsibility."

"Fine!" The leading officer waved his hand and signaled his men to fall back considerably, though they still maintained a surrounding posture at the entrance to the room.

Stephen Strange knocked on the door, but he didn't enter directly. Instead, he used his body to block the doorway, leaving only a small gap. "Roy, there are some documents that require your signature. Could you come to the office with me?"

"Of course. Keep an eye on your mother." Roy got up, letting his son watch his mother, before stepping out. However, the first thing he saw was a crowd of police officers, and his heart skipped a beat. But he had changed. He calmly turned and gently closed the door. "Doctor, what's going on?" Although Roy was calm, he maintained his usual demeanor, appearing somewhat timid and not daring to speak loudly.

"These officers want to ask you to assist them with an investigation. I wonder if you'll cooperate?" Stephen Strange spoke before the police officers, emphasizing "assist with the investigation."

"Oh, assist with the investigation? I'm sorry, officers, my wife is undergoing surgery tomorrow. I won't leave her at this time. Of course, if you're not in a hurry, I can cooperate with your investigation after the surgery. I know it's a citizen's duty, but I cannot leave my wife at this moment."

The police officers' expressions soured. This doctor was truly annoying. Their usual method was to intimidate suspects with their presence, but now, what presence did they have? However, they had their own way. "Mr. Roy, this case is significant, and you are a suspect. Therefore, please come back with us to cooperate with the investigation and clear your name as soon as possible."

"I'm sorry, what case are you talking about?" Roy asked.

"The Bear Stearns Wall Street Bank robbery. You seem to have become wealthy recently, having the means to admit your wife to this hospital. Don't you need to explain this?"

"Heh, I think there's some misunderstanding. Why can't my friends and I make money from our business and use it to treat my wife? We established the Ghost Investment Company in the Cayman Islands, and there are records there. We made millions of dollars, and all this money is documented. You can investigate it. Isn't this very simple? I make money, and you accuse me of robbing a bank? Then why haven't you investigated why the bank has never compensated us? Is this how the American police operate?" Roy became somewhat agitated, his voice gradually rising.

Stephen Strange quickly stopped him. "Mr. Roy, don't get agitated. Don't let your wife hear this; it will affect her greatly."

"Thank you, Doctor. You are a good person." Roy's eyes welled up with tears; this was his genuine emotion. He used to be timid and cowardly, but now, for his wife, he could fight desperately. He then looked at the police officers and said, "If you have evidence, arrest me. If not, please leave. If my wife has any problems because of you, I will not let you off."
