Confident Kakashi

Uchiha Sasuke was just about to close his eyes and rest when he saw wisps of golden electricity appear around Lynn Uchiha.

The golden currents spun through the air, and a force of attraction gradually began pulling scraps and dust up from the ground.

Sasuke froze, staring blankly at the scene before him.

What... what was this?

A jutsu?

Or some new kind of Nintaijutsu?

This was the first time Uchiha Sasuke had ever seen anything like it.

He knew about Lightning Style Ninjutsu and had seen others use it.

But the sight of Lynn Uchiha like this left him completely baffled.

Suddenly, a thin streak of golden electricity shot toward the tatami floor.

It punched a fist-sized hole straight through the hard stone slab beneath the tatami.

"It worked! I freaking did it!"

At the sight, cold sweat began to bead on Uchiha Sasuke's forehead.

He started shuffling toward the space beneath the bed.

Wrapping his arms around himself, he curled up as tightly as he could.

A moment later, Lynn Uchiha's shout rang out from above.

"Spin! Damn it, Astonishing Wisdom, spin already!"

At the voice coming from the bed, Uchiha Sasuke trembled.

His face was frozen in shock and horror.

Why was this happening?

Damn it, why had the world turned into this?

He felt that ever since the night of the Uchiha Clan Downfall, the whole world had started to go wrong.

Had he, Uchiha Sasuke, gone crazy?

Or...

Had the world gone crazy?

After slapping himself on the head, Lynn felt his Astonishing Wisdom spinning faster than before.

As expected.

Hatake Kakashi recalled the information on their target and spoke to the two jōnin beside him.

"According to the intel, he knows Lightning Style Ninjutsu, has awakened his Sharingan, and is skilled in Fire Release Ninjutsu and genjutsu.

His overall strength has been updated to the elite jōnin level."

"Kakashi, don't worry. The three of us are elite jōnin, and other jōnin squads will be arriving soon. How could we let him get away?"

One of them, a thin man carrying several enormous scrolls on his back, said.

"Don't underestimate Lynn Uchiha's strength," Kakashi said flatly.

"The Uchiha Clan has enormous potential, and its members are exceptionally powerful."

"So what? No matter how strong Lynn Uchiha is, he's still just one man. He needs Hand Seals to use jutsu. Nine jōnin are more than enough to deal with him."

Several Kumogakure ninja stood beneath the eaves, wearing dark blue uniforms and rigid shoulder guards made of thick hide or lightweight metal plates. They looked up at Kakashi's group.

"Copy Ninja Hatake Kakashi? Why are they here?"

Omoi, with brown skin, short white hair, and a lollipop in his mouth, turned to ask the person beside him.

Beside him stood Samui, a yellow-haired kunoichi with a cold expression and an icy air about her.

Hearing Omoi's question, Samui replied coldly,

"Whatever their reason for coming here, our only concern is protecting our village."

"Looks like they're after a rogue ninja?" Omoi guessed, raising an eyebrow.

"They're all jōnin. We're no match for them, so we should just watch from a distance," Samui said coolly.

That was just the kind of person she was: cold as the principle she lived by.

"Anyone who's attracted the attention of this many jōnin must be in for it. That Konoha rogue is done for," Omoi said, crushing the lollipop between his teeth.

"It has nothing to do with us, as long as they don't let it spill over into our village.

But they shouldn't be able to threaten our village."

Samui clearly thought so too: nobody could stand against all those jōnin.

With several Konoha jōnin dispatched, anyone who wasn't as powerful as the Kage of one of the ninja villages was bound to fall into their hands.

The sky was a brilliant blue. Sunlight streamed through the clouds and onto the ground, while puddles reflected a rainbow of colors.

Lynn Uchiha and Uchiha Sasuke walked slowly out of the inn.

As soon as they stepped outside, Lynn Uchiha sensed that something was off.

He extended his senses, spreading them outward.

Everything within several hundred meters entered his mind.

He didn't detect anything unusual.

But an inexplicable sense of foreboding put Lynn on his guard.

Unlike the Mutants of the Marvel Universe,

Ninja were all a bunch of sneaky bastards.

The ninja who had pursued Lynn Uchiha in the previous two attempts had been dealt with easily.

But that didn't mean all ninja were useless.

With Uchiha Sasuke in tow, Lynn Uchiha cautiously made his way down the street ahead.

Strangely, not a single person was out and about.

That made the atmosphere feel even more eerie to Lynn Uchiha.

Something was definitely wrong here.

Although his strength had already reached Kage Level,
