Tranquility suddenly realized that the reason he had been able to hold on was precisely because he was still alive, using the truth of death he had comprehended to desperately guard his remaining energy.

Once he died, although he had already broken through death's influence and his consciousness would remain lucid, problems would inevitably arise in his control over energy.

Within this sealed environment, all his energy would be drained dry in an instant. Then the seal would activate its final function, stripping away every scrap of the truth of death he had comprehended.

After that, his consciousness would be utterly annihilated, along with all his information. From then on, his original self would be completely destroyed.

Of the person known as Tranquility, only fragments of information would remain in other people's memories.

Though he could be resurrected from those memories, the reborn being, having lost the original information, would only be something that looked the part without truly being him.

One choice was to trust his own common-sense judgment, ignore the information Negary had sent in, and note that, judging by the method used, the one who had transmitted that information was merely one of Negary's alternate-path avatars.

The other was to trust Negary, end his life here once more, completely embrace death, and then place his hopes upon Negary, praying that he would defeat Grelrigs.
