Although it hadn't yet demonstrated truly world-shattering destructive power,
the strength the Akatsuki leader, Pain, had displayed in this single attack had already exceeded the Kage's expectations. The most terrifying thing about the Rinnegan was those special "clones" beneath it. Setting aside Naruto's earlier warning, these experienced Kage could tell from the battle and their observations afterward that the bodies had been created through some special method. They were completely unlike the "Clone Technique" ordinarily used by Ninja. They didn't disappear after taking a certain amount of damage; instead, they were more like independent living beings. They could also share vision and chakra, and each displayed different techniques.
The battle might have lasted only a short while,
but the people gathered here were among the strongest in the Shinobi World.
Their combat experience far surpassed that of any other Ninja.
After talking among themselves and exchanging information,
they could naturally infer some of the abilities possessed by Nagato's Pain bodies.
By the time Tsunade had finished treating the last seriously wounded samurai and walked over, Ōnoki, Mei Terumi, A, Baki, Naruto, and the others had already pieced together some of the key information about Pain. Naruto had deliberately guided them a little, of course, but there was another, more important reason: none of the Six Paths of Pain was the real body. They were all clones or puppet-like entities. Naruto didn't mention this, however, for a simple reason: he wanted the Rinnegan too!
Keeping some less important information to himself
had its drawbacks for Naruto,
but it could also work to his advantage.
It all depended on whether he could handle things skillfully enough.
Fortunately,
Jiraiya wasn't present
