The five Tailed Beasts had made a grand entrance.
Their aura was clearly more terrifying than before.
At the edges of the battlefield,
the Fourth Raikage A, Third Tsuchikage Ōnoki, Fifth Kazekage Baki, and the others all wore grim expressions.
"Chojuro, I'm leaving this to you! I'm heading over there!"
"Yes, Lord Mizukage!"
"Fuyi! You're in command here!"
"Yes, Lord Kazekage!"
"Gaara, let's go!"

Baki and Mei Terumi had both realized that the decisive battle was about to begin. This was no time to hold back. Their opponents clearly intended to settle things here, once and for all. Either they would die, or their enemies would. No one could afford to let their guard down.
The Kage moved to close in.
However,
all of this
was exactly what the Akatsuki—or, more precisely, Nagato and Obito—had anticipated.
During the last surprise attack at the Six Kage Summit,
even Nagato's arrogance hadn't blinded him to the truth: on his own, he couldn't overpower the Six Kage. In fact, half of them—excluding Baki—would be enough to keep him in check. Although this battle was on his home turf, his opponents already knew his techniques, making the fight even more difficult. So Nagato and Obito had discussed their options and settled on the best possible plan.
Almost as soon as Nagato made his imposing entrance,
across the battlefield,
from all four directions,
several figures in Akatsuki's red-cloud cloaks suddenly leaped into view, intercepting Ōnoki, Baki, Mei Terumi, and the
