Boom! A powerful surge of chakra erupted from Ueno Kei's body.
In an instant, it shattered those crystal fragments. Once freed, the fragments fell to the ground and dissipated into nothingness.
A trace of surprise flashed through Guren's eyes. She had not expected Ueno Kei to dispel her move with such a crude yet simple method. This had been one of the techniques she had painstakingly devised to subdue enemies. But only this made things interesting. Guren narrowed her eyes slightly.
If Ueno Kei had gone down without a fight, Guren would have been disappointed instead.
Guren immediately formed hand seals and gave a low shout. "Crystal Release—Crystal Dragon Technique!"
A massive pink crystalline dragon forcibly formed out of thin air. Its enormous body radiated a terrifying aura that made even ninjas below jonin level tremble in fear. As soon as the dragon appeared, it roared furiously at Ueno Kei, as though expressing its rage.
Guren leaped lightly onto the dragon's back and looked at Ueno Kei with a provocative gaze.
"Interesting!" Ueno Kei gave a grim smile, swiftly bit his finger, and began forming seals with practiced ease. "Ninjutsu—Summoning Technique!"
With a poof, a huge cloud of smoke billowed out, and an enormous figure suddenly appeared within it.
When the smoke dispersed, what appeared before everyone was a gigantic lizard. It wore an oversized kimono, had a curved horn growing from its forehead, and faint lightning flickered across it.
Ueno Kei stood calmly atop the lizard's head.
Whether they were Konoha's Anbu or the Sound ninja, when Guren and Ueno Kei summoned the dragon and lizard one after another, they consciously moved away from their battlefield. A fight between such gigantic summoned creatures could easily drag anyone standing too close into the fray.
