This book was written largely according to Ye's own wishes, so it's very much driven by his personal vision. Basically, Ye writes it however he wants.
Of course, Ye will consider readers' suggestions and opinions where appropriate. But don't worry: when it comes to characterizations, he'll generally stick to the original, rather than making things up. As for the plot, the major events from the original will mostly remain, without any drastic changes.
However, Ye will fix or change some of the frustrating things in the story. For example, the original's utterly invincible "Talk no Jutsu" will absolutely not appear in Ye's book.
Gradually changing some of a person's beliefs through subtle influence is possible, but turning an enemy into a friend in an instant is something Ye would never do. Maybe some people would. Those who turned over a new leaf—like Pain, Orochimaru, Sasuke, and Obito—were all in special circumstances, which is why they changed their ways.
But Ye doesn't see it that way. These days, someone betrays their country, then says they had their reasons and were actually patriotic, and everyone just accepts them again? Ye thinks that's complete nonsense.
So, in short! Ye won't make major changes to the ninjutsu, characterizations, or major plot points. Powers from some boring otherworld absolutely won't show up out of nowhere, and the characters' personalities won't be changed just to make them more likable. He'll only fix things that bother him, like the examples above.
