Sorry, there won't be an update today. I just have some thoughts I want to share with everyone. (Though I'm not sure—I might write something later. It could end up being very late.)
Please rest assured, this is absolutely not a prelude to a rushed ending or abandonment... Don't overthink it, everyone~
Up to now, without even realizing it, Aizen has reached 1.7 million words. Even I'm shocked. I just kept writing every day, and before I knew it, it had grown to this many words.
To everyone who has made it this far, no matter what, Cang Jian wants to thank you all.
After all, it was everyone's support that gave Cang Jian royalties, improved my life somewhat, and gave me the motivation to keep writing.
But perhaps because of the "padding," many longtime readers have left. That's okay. At the very least, there are traces here of the time you once spent here, and that's enough~
To be honest, Cang Jian had always wanted to start a new book, and I did start one, but because I had a lot going on before, I put it aside.
The reason for starting a new book is simple: Aizen hasn't performed very well.
From only a few hundred first-day subscriptions when it was first put behind a paywall, to later averaging 1,000 subscriptions, this book seemed to have sunk into a swamp and never moved again.
As for recommendations... the best recommendation spot this book ever got was probably the strong featured recommendation in the ACG category before it went premium...
It's pretty embarrassing. 1.7 million words, and I could only watch as one rising newcomer after another surpassed and utterly crushed me...
1.7 million words, just over 20,000 favorites...
That's rather humiliating...
As for things like limited-time free access
