In the hospital room, Sakura had left.
When Kushina returned to the room, her eyes widened slightly as she stared in disbelief at Naruto, who was struggling to do push-ups on the floor.
Naruto awkwardly got to his feet, scratched his head, and said to Kushina somewhat sheepishly.
"I've been recuperating this whole time. It feels like my body's gotten rusty, so I was just doing a little recovery training... heh heh..."
For some reason, upon hearing Naruto's words, Kushina suddenly let out a snort and laughed.
Seeing the teasing look in Kushina's eyes, Naruto could not help feeling embarrassed and annoyed. He hurriedly said.
"What kind of look is that? Am I supposed to just lie in bed and waste away?"
Kushina covered her mouth, her face brimming with amusement as she said softly.
"No, no. It's just a mother's sentiment. Sure enough... my son has reached the age where he should have a girlfriend..."
Naruto's face immediately turned bright red, and he quickly protested.
"What are you even talking about?! Honestly..."
Seeing Naruto's reaction, Kushina gently shook her head and did not tease him any further. Still, she added in a murmur.
"Actually... I think Sakura is quite a good girl too..."
Hearing that, Naruto practically had steam coming out of his head. He was furious, yet powerless to refute her.
However, after that, Naruto looked at Kushina with a serious expression and said.
"Mother, starting today, I want to train in sealing techniques with you..."
Kushina paused at those words. Naturally, she readily agreed, but she looked at Naruto in confusion and asked.
"Didn't you always refuse to train in ninjutsu with your father and me before? Why have you suddenly decided to learn sealing techniques?"
