Just as the young Rock Ninja were still reeling from Nanli Hu's words,
a young ninja inside the outpost, who had been keeping an eye on Konoha's movements, suddenly cried out.
"Lord Nanli Hu, look!"
At his cry, the young Rock Ninja grew wary and turned to look in that direction.
Inside the tall cavern, several crude telescopes had been set up at openings used for observation. Through them, the group watched the Land of Fire.
Nanli Hu had naturally claimed one of the telescopes, peering into the Land of Fire himself.
In the distance, several Konoha Ninja in combat gear stood scattered across the branches of enormous trees, gazing toward them from afar.
After a brief glance, Nanli Hu paid them little mind and said softly,
"Don't worry. They're just a few Konoha Ninja. They're probably only observing the terrain around here. They won't find us."
But as he spoke, he suddenly got a clear look at one of the ninja's eyes, and his expression tightened.
He quickly adjusted the telescope and examined the other Konoha Ninja. His face darkened, and he said gravely,
"This is bad!"
"Tell the others—we need to evacuate this outpost at once!"
Seeing Nanli Hu's expression turn suddenly grim, the young Rock Ninja below grew concerned and asked anxiously,
"Lord Nanli Hu, what happened? Did they discover us?"
Nanli Hu glanced at the Rock Ninja who had asked and said gravely,
"Even if they haven't found us yet, they will if we wait any longer."
"They're from Konoha's Hyuga Clan. Their Byakugan can detect the flow of a ninja's chakra, so even through this rock, they can see our movements. We need to get out of here!"
Nanli Hu's words left the Rock Ninja stunned. They could hardly believe such an ocular technique existed.
