Refresh the page and take a look at Chapter 400.
A lot has happened over the past month or so. Look, I've nearly had ten days off, and something changes every day.
So much has happened in between. To sum it up: exhausting, exhausting, exhausting.
Writing is exhausting. If you add a lot of things going on in your personal life, it's even more exhausting. Then there are the worries about how the book is doing and whether my writing is too padded.
There's nothing I can do about the padding. It's probably just the way Cang Jian writes. It looks slow and padded, and I'm unhappy with it too, but it's hard to change.
I'm really afraid of disappointing everyone. I've broken my promises so many times that I don't even want to make any more. I can't keep them anyway. It's a major flaw of mine.
The book's performance has been declining, and I haven't gotten any recommendations or anything. I guess maintaining things where they are now is pretty good.
Cang Jian is definitely writing seriously. I put careful thought into my wording; I'm not deliberately padding things out or anything. This is just my writing style. I took a look at the beginning, and it was the same back then. Nothing's really changed.
I've also wanted to start a new book, but I haven't had time to write one. A big part of it is that I'm worried the second book won't do as well as this one.
I'm planning to post a bunch of extra chapters during the holiday. Yeah... once I finish reading Striving in the Red Chamber. I'm almost done.
That's enough talk. I'm off to write!
All in all, thanks to every reader who made it to this chapter. I'm truly grateful!
