Without realizing it, summer was gradually replacing the cold of winter. As the earth warmed, young men and women blossoming into adulthood changed into summer clothes, letting their passion run free and beginning to...
"Come into heat."
A vein pulsed on Chloe's forehead. She turned around and glared at Dilos, who stood not far away.
"Dilos, stop messing around!"
Chloe snapped her laptop shut, baring a pretty set of little tiger teeth as she growled, "Don't you know it's rude to peek at what someone else is writing?"
"I wasn't peeking." Dilos shrugged. "I was looking openly."
Chloe gritted her teeth, wishing she could grab a big iron rod and whack Dilos over the head with it.
Dilos still didn't seem satisfied. He reached out to Clark, who was lying on the ground beside them. "I'm telling the truth. Clark, don't you agree?"
After Dilos hauled him to his feet, Clark didn't even bother brushing the dust off himself. He looked from Dilos's smug face to his future wife's fierce expression and opened his mouth awkwardly, unsure what to say.
"You!"
Seeing how useless Clark was being, Chloe looked ready to explode. She gave a furious huff and stormed out of the warehouse, settling into a chair outside to continue her great work of writing.
"Isn't the point of writing news to tell the truth?"
Dilos curled his lip. "Whether it's how the United States portrays men and women in its movies and media, or the dominant social trends in their relationships, isn't it all about people coming into heat, whether openly or behind closed doors? Otherwise, what explains all those extreme parties and the habit of changing partners like clothes? And on top of that, they keep spreading this culture around the world, then proudly call it being open-minded."
