"You mean Clark lost his powers because of the meteorite?"

Dilos glanced suspiciously at Clark, who was still unconscious, then asked Chloe, "Now that he's away from the meteorite, shouldn't his powers have come back?"

"Maybe it was because he was struck by lightning while holding the meteorite,"

Chloe shook her head. "I'm not sure what caused it, but I suspect it has something to do with that."

Dilos was speechless for a moment. He looked over at the Kents, but they couldn't give him a definite answer either.

"All right. Clark lost his powers because of the meteorite and some unknown factor, then suffered serious injuries for reasons we don't know. I think that's all the clues we have so far."

The lack of clues left Dilos feeling helpless. He sighed and looked at Chloe and the Kents, whose faces all looked somewhat haggard. After a moment's thought, he decided to reveal a little about Clark's condition. "Don't worry. Clark should make a full recovery in less than a week."

"Really?"

Chloe and the Kents couldn't help showing a hint of joy.

"That's right." Dilos nodded. "Clark feels to me like his powers are being suppressed. While treating him just now, I noticed that his bruises were fading, changing from black and purple at first to deep red now. I think that's proof his powers are gradually returning. Look for yourselves."

As he spoke, Dilos pointed to Clark, lying quietly behind the glass window. The others looked over and saw that, just as Dilos had said, the bruises on Clark's body had faded.

Seeing that Clark's life was no longer in danger, Lex stepped forward and said to the others, "There are spare rooms in this laboratory. If you're willing, you can stay here until Clark has fully recovered."
