In Dilos's memories of his previous life, people who could pass through solid objects had left a deep impression on him. The Flash, Barry Allen, and Kitty Pryde, for example.
The former used the Speed Force to vibrate his molecules while moving at incredible speed. Once he figured out the natural frequency of an object, he could easily pass through it—even if that object was Superman.
Kitty could do the same, but her phasing ability was stronger and more versatile. She didn't need to figure out an object's frequency to pass through it. She could even phase through things like fire and lightning.
This ability was practically overpowered in some ways, whether for stealing things or escaping. With the world's current level of technology, there was no way to stop Metahumans with this power from breaking in, aside from using certain special materials or energy fields.
And that wasn't all. The ability was also incredibly destructive. If Dilos had carelessly let them attack him just now, they could have phased their hands right into his body and wreaked havoc on his internal organs.
Of course, the three men in front of him weren't as impressive as those two powerhouses from Dilos's memories. They could pass through solid objects, but they couldn't use their ability for long. Otherwise, given their personalities, they would have turned Smallville upside down long ago.
"Good thing I didn't show off back then. Otherwise, I might be dead right now."
Dilos looked relieved, then turned a hostile gaze on the three men he had immobilized. During their brief fight, he had clearly sensed that they really wanted to kill him. If he hadn't had Spider-Sense, and if he hadn't been so cautious by nature, they might really have killed him by catching him off guard.
