In Luthor Castle in Smallville, Dilos and Lex were discussing everything that had happened in Smallville in a secret chamber.
"You think the reason meteor rocks can only infect humans in Smallville is because of this underground cave carved with alien writing?"
Picking up several photographs of Kryptonian inscriptions, Dilos asked, "Is it because your people detected radiation from the meteor rocks here?"
"That's a large part of it."
Lex nodded. "Other factors can't be ruled out, but you know I can't exactly blow up all of Smallville. The pictures I just showed you also include related ancient totems found in historical legends from other countries—China, Egypt, and so on. And those pictures were actually found through Google. Do you know what that means, Dilos? It means Smallville isn't the only place. These aliens left traces of themselves elsewhere too. They may have even left people behind to breed descendants here."
Hearing Lex's words, Dilos unconsciously rubbed his forehead. "All right, maybe we should blow it up first and see what happens. We might get some useful information that way. Of course, only after evacuating everyone from town."
"I didn't bring you back just to hear such a terrible suggestion."
Lex rolled his eyes. "Don't you have any thoughts on this?"
"You have a point, but the useful information we've gotten from this is still far too limited."
Dilos set down the photographs and said helplessly, "Unless we have an alien-language expert here to interpret them for us, we're just stumbling around blindly."
"Actually..."
At that, Lex gave a mysterious smile. "I found someone who may be able to decipher this information."
"You found someone?"
Dilos shot Lex a strange look. "How did you find them?"
"From some related material left behind by my dead father."
Lex curled his lip.
