Overall, Chloe's birthday party went perfectly. Everyone who was supposed to come had come. Aside from Dilos and Lois, Gabe, Clark, Jonathan, Martha, Lana, and even Lex, who was usually swamped with work, had all shown up.
Dilos and Lois did not continue arguing during the party. Lois also seemed to have changed her usual ways. Not only did she refrain from doing anything to ruin the mood, she honestly celebrated Chloe's birthday with everyone else.
"She seems to have changed quite a bit after all these years."
As his gaze passed over Lois's sweet smile, Dilos sighed inwardly. That brat from back then had finally grown up.
Yet as he reflected on it, Dilos could not help feeling somewhat guilty toward her.
Lois had been rather reckless as a child, but she had only been a child back then. Besides, her behavior had not been so unbearable. They had kept clashing for years, and aside from Lois herself, the main reason had been Dilos's personality at the time.
A novel was still just a novel. In reality, not everyone who transmigrated could easily adapt to the world they found themselves in.
When Dilos had first arrived in this world, certain personality issues from his previous life, along with his own rejection of this world, had made him extremely emotional and even childish at times, causing no small amount of trouble for those around him.
That was how the grudge between Dilos and Lois had begun. The most helpless part was that Dilos had grown somewhat accustomed to this way of getting along with Lois, so whenever they met again, he instinctively started arguing with her.
Feeling the cheerful atmosphere around him, Dilos thought to himself, *I have to change this habit. I can't act like a lunatic every time
