After some simple tests, Dilos found that the main reason his vital energy was being consumed too quickly was that this energy was too diffuse. Once it circulated at high speed past a certain point, or reacted outside the body with some kind of mixed energy, it easily broke free of its material form and dissipated into the air. On top of that, vital energy itself was consumed when used. These two factors were why Dilos could not remain in his limit state for long.
In short, Dilos's current efficiency in using vital energy was simply too low, resulting in this outcome. Something that should have required only one unit of energy took him a full hundred units to accomplish.
That said, improving the efficiency of his vital energy in a short time was no easy task. After all, effective ways to use this energy were an entirely new field for Dilos. It was simply impossible to figure out a suitable, much less perfect, method in such a short period.
"It doesn't have to be perfect. As long as the vital energy I extract in one day can support me fighting at full strength for an hour—even half an hour—that would still be a hundred times better than my current situation."
Dilos naturally had his own basis for thinking this way. Once the vital energy in his body accumulated in a localized area, such as a finger or arm, it could greatly enhance that body part's strength and defense. Then could it be assumed that if the quality or quantity of vital energy in his body increased to a certain level, it could greatly strengthen his entire body?
