At night, in Central City, inside a secret chamber of S.T.A.R. Labs.
Harrison Wells wore glasses, his slender, agile fingers tapping across a virtual keyboard at a frequency so high it was nearly invisible to the naked eye, like the wings of a bee.
As his hands moved at that astonishing speed, a stream of profound mathematical, physical, and chemical equations and symbols continuously appeared across the virtual interface before him.
Several minutes later, Harrison Wells finally stopped his almost terrifying typing, and by then, his calculations were complete.
"Gideon, verify this new formula."
Harrison called to the artificial intelligence beside him. "See whether this can get me home."
"Understood, Dr. Wells."
A female virtual avatar suddenly appeared, then transformed into countless streams of data and code in midair. Almost instantly, it produced an answer.
"Congratulations, Dr. Wells. This formula simulation was successful."
"Good!"
Harrison nodded in satisfaction before asking, "What about the energy projections?"
"Unfortunately, the energy you copied from Barry Allen is insufficient to open a spatial wormhole."
The artificial intelligence named Gideon swiftly replied, "Unless your body can accommodate and output more Speed Force, you will not be able to open a wormhole and return to your own universe."
Hearing that, Harrison continued, "What if we add the Speed Force of the Flash, Barry Allen?"
"No. Based on the energy output of both of you, calculations show that the Speed Force energy required to open a spatial wormhole through a particle collision is ten times your combined total. In other words, for one person to open a spatial wormhole alone, they would need to reach at least two hundred and forty times the speed of sound."
"Two hundred and forty times the speed of sound?!"
Harrison's voice rose involuntarily, and his expression darkened along with it.
As
