Background / History

Tang San was a male outer sect disciple of the Tang Sect in her previous life. After transmigrating, she awoke as a baby girl in Holy Soul Village. Though initially unaccustomed to her new gender, she accepted it as irrelevant to her cultivation, Tang Sect techniques, and ambition to restore the Tang Sect. 1

From childhood, she cultivated the Purple Demon Eye at sunrise and practiced the Mystic Heaven Technique. Gu Qing began following her soon after he could walk. Tang San came to regard him as an elder-brother figure and passed on the Mystic Heaven Technique after recognizing his aptitude for Tang Sect arts. 1

At age six, Tang San awakened Blue Silver Grass and innate full spirit power. Su Yuntao dismissed her spirit as worthless, but Gu Qing encouraged her; Tang San resolved to protect him in return. 2 She later revealed her second martial soul, the Haotian Hammer, to Tang Hao, who instructed her to conceal it and use it to protect her Blue Silver Grass. 4

Gu Qing redirected her cultivation away from poison and control toward Blue Silver Grass’s defining quality: vitality. This led Tang San to pursue a life-symbiosis, body-tempering combat style rather than a conventional control path. 10 13

Tang San’s long-held goal of restoring the Tang Sect begins taking concrete form in Heaven Dou City. She demonstrates Tang Sect concealed weapons to Ning Fengzhi, participates in the sect’s founding, and helps secure the Strength Clan’s cooperation as the foundation for forging and mass production. 78 89 90 93

Appearance

Tang San is initially described as petite, with a ponytail and purple pupils. Prolonged forging and body-tempering transform her from slender into a visibly muscular, powerful fighter with defined arms, waist, abdomen, and calves. 1 9

  • Purple light appears in her eyes while cultivating the Purple Demon Eye. 1
  • Her Blue Silver Tyrant Body manifests as fitted emerald grass-leaf armor around her limbs and torso. 11
  • Her physique is built for explosive close-quarters strength rather than a conventional frail plant-spirit image. 9 16
  • By her early teens, she is commonly seen in plain, fitted black or combat clothing, carrying herself with a cool and imposing demeanor. 38 90
  • After absorbing the Emerald Jade Cloud Vine, an ethereal emerald halo can appear in her pupils and around her Blue Silver Grass. 38

Personality

Tang San is disciplined, mentally resilient, and intensely committed to Tang Sect restoration. She accepts her gender change without abandoning her cultivation or prior-life goals. 1

She is fiercely protective of Gu Qing. She defends him against Tang Hao’s proposed apprenticeship conditions, reaches for poisoned hidden weapons when others threaten or insult him, and openly rejects Yu Xiaogang as unworthy to teach him. 5 7 Her first instinct toward perceived danger is often lethal; Gu Qing specifically warns her that excessive bloodlust cannot solve every problem. 8

Her feelings for Gu Qing evolve from sibling-like devotion into romantic attraction, complicated by the resonance between the Mystic Heaven Technique and Gu Qing’s Mystic Jade Body. She initially accepts Gu Qing’s request to wait until she can distinguish instinct from her own settled desires, but later experiences jealousy and possessiveness following his relationship with Liu Erlong. She ultimately acknowledges her mixed feelings and resolves to clarify them. 23 28 48 50 55

Tang San also possesses a strong sense of responsibility toward the consequences of her family’s actions. Rather than evade the Strength Clan’s resentment of Tang Hao, she reveals her lineage to Tai Tan and sincerely apologizes for her father’s abandonment of the affiliated clans. 90

  • Its durability increases further after Tang San absorbs the Emerald Jade Cloud Vine. 38

Blue Silver Light of Life

Her fourth spirit skill, gained from the 40,000-year Emerald Jade Cloud Vine. 38

  • Acquired through peaceful resonance and voluntary transfer of the vine’s life essence. 38
  • Provides burst healing when combined with her Earth Vein-based sustained recovery. 39
  • Purifies the soul, heals wounds, and can detoxify poisoned targets. 38
  • Functions as a burst-type, single-target, high-efficiency healing skill and increases Tang San’s own vitality by fifty percent. 38
  • Doubles the life-resilience of her Blue Silver Grass and improves the durability of Blue Silver Rampart. 38
  • Expands her role beyond that of a traditional healing-type Soul Master. 39

Physical Combat

Tang San combines Blue Silver Grass enhancement with a heavily tempered body and close-combat techniques.

  • Her Spirit Venerable-stage strength can shatter refined steel and bedrock with one punch. 13
  • Uses Lion’s Fang, taught by Gu Qing, as a powerful punching technique. 16
  • Defeated the level-37 Dai Mubai decisively after blocking his attacks, restraining him, and overpowering him in melee. 16
