Hu Liena was reading Tie Mo's statement when footsteps suddenly sounded downstairs.
The Deacon came upstairs to report, "Holy Maiden, Lord Di Yao has arrived."
Hu Liena looked up.
She had not noticed it herself, but when she heard those words, her shoulders loosened slightly.
She quickly composed herself again.
"Let him come up."
A moment later, Di Yao entered the Sentry Tower.
He wore a black outer robe. His complexion was better than when he had left Spirit City, but it was still obvious that his injuries had not fully healed.
The first thing Hu Liena looked at was his chest.
Di Yao noticed.
"It hasn't split open."
Hu Liena froze.
Then she snorted coldly. "I haven't even asked yet."
"You would have," Di Yao said.
Hu Liena pushed the statements over.
"Read this first."
Di Yao sat down and opened the statements.
He read quickly.
But this time, Hu Liena did not stop him.
Because this was not Spirit City, where he had been recovering.
This was before Black Stone Valley.
Information was more urgent than rest.
After Di Yao finished reading, his fingertip tapped Tie Mo's statement.
"He's hiding the Iron Sect Master."
Hu Liena nodded.
