"Everything about this world is good, except that it is a little too desolate."
They had walked for quite a while without seeing the slightest trace of life. Not only were there no living creatures, there was not even a single plant.
Red Immortal gazed at the barren world and could not help but sigh.
This newly born great world had yet to give birth to any life.
"That is precisely why this is our opportunity... isn't it?" Giant Mountain smiled unconcernedly, even seeming rather pleased. "Legend has it that among the first batch of living beings to be born, many possess astonishing talent, some even born innately powerful and terrifying. If those beings already existed, the moment we entered this place, we would likely be noticed, and the risk of perishing would increase greatly."
Red Immortal naturally understood this reasoning as well.
Thus, her earlier remark had merely been a casual comment.
"But has this world really not given birth to any life?" Red Immortal suddenly asked.
Giant Mountain hesitated for a moment before shaking his head. "I don't know, but most likely not. Otherwise, there would not be no traces at all... It would be best if no living beings had been born. Otherwise, beings born of heaven and earth—especially the first batch—can easily become incomparably powerful. Even the appearance of a legendary 'Dao Ancestor' would not be surprising."
At the mention of a Dao Ancestor, everyone shuddered in unison.
Then it was better if there was none!
That was far too terrifying.
If a Dao Ancestor truly appeared and held hostility toward outsiders like them, they could probably be wiped out with a single thought.
Yet no one noticed that just after they passed through this region, the land that had seemed utterly lifeless suddenly rippled faintly.
