Well... how should I put it? As of today, this book was finally, truly complete.
At a little over two million words, it was probably the longest novel I'd ever written.
Originally, I hadn't planned to write any closing remarks, but after thinking it over, I figured I should see it through from beginning to end.
I'd just write a few lines.
I wasn't sure whether I'd post this, but I'd write something at least.
This book meant a great deal to me. It was the first long novel I'd ever completed, and it also brought me a fairly substantial income—well, substantial by my own standards; I'm just a student. It helped ease some urgent financial strain and filled up my little stash of savings a bit.
Thank you for fate's gift.
Actually, I'd originally planned to wrap it up much earlier, but for various reasons, I ended up stretching it out a little longer.
Overall, though, it wasn't a big problem.
I'd had a lot I wanted to say, but when the time to truly finish it came, I suddenly had no idea what I ought to say.
I didn't even know whether these so-called closing remarks would be posted.
If not, I'd keep them as a memento for myself.
Originally, I thought that when the moment I'd been looking forward to—the ending—arrived, I'd be incredibly happy... excited.
Like I'd been granted immense relief. After all, I'd written continuously for twelve months; aside from taking one day off now and then each month, I'd kept up six thousand words a day for the rest of the time. It had been pretty exhausting.
Yet when that moment truly arrived, it felt completely different.
Tired.
Other than tired, I was still tired.
There wasn't any particular feeling, nor was there anything
