"Here it comes!"
The vortex in the clouds suddenly paused as it spun. Then a massive red beam pierced through the clouds and shot straight toward Whole Cake Island.
Whoosh!
Gray had already sensed its direction with Observation Haki. He immediately rushed beneath the beam and, to be safe, covered his entire body in Armament Haki.
Until he knew how powerful one of those lasers was, it was best to take precautions.
After all, his Observation Haki could only sense danger. He wouldn't know just how dangerous it was until he faced it.
Fortunately, the first laser was not far from Gray. "Flash!"
He reached the spot beneath the red beam, his whole body black with a purplish sheen. Then he pushed both hands upward. "Star Shift!"
Boom!
After pausing for an instant, the beam crashing down was reflected straight back by Gray.
There was no time to check what happened. Beams were already raining down from the sky, densely packed like raindrops. Gray used Teleportation again. "Flash!"
Boom! Boom!
In just three seconds, Gray used teleportation to reflect more than a dozen beams.
Each beam was not particularly powerful, but it still reached the minimum threshold for an Admiral-level attack. On top of that, they were crashing down from the sky. Every time Gray blocked one, a forceful shock reverberated through his body, leaving his chest feeling tight.
But he no longer needed to reflect the beams. During the three seconds he spent blocking them, the rest had already struck the island.
BOOM!
The violent impacts came one after another. The beams hit the island and began spreading unchecked, shaking the entire island.
In that short time, Gray could already feel that the island had been pierced through.
Boom!
Another tremendous roar rang out—not from the island, but from
