"One of the Three Emperors, Kaido, is coming here. He might attack, so we need to be ready." Though Doflamingo had a plan in mind, he still considered the possibility of a fight.
He didn't mind getting into a fight, but what if too many of the people were killed? Who would be left to work in the factories?
"Yes, Doffy!" Knowing the situation was urgent, Trebol even forgot to suck back in his dripping snot. Dragging his large sheet behind him, he hurried off to organize the others.
Meanwhile, Doflamingo used a Den Den Mushi to tell Gray and the other two to meet at the port and prepare for battle.
By the time Gray flew to the port, Doflamingo and the others were already waiting for Kaido, ready for battle.
"Hey, hey! Doffy, isn't it too soon to fight Kaido, one of the Three Emperors?" Though Gray was confident in his strength, he still knew his limits.
"Fufufufu... Don't worry, Gray!" Doflamingo smiled confidently. "I have a way."

There was no helping it. Though he was confused, when he thought about how Doflamingo had survived into the New World arc in the original story, Gray could only assume that something had happened that he didn't know about. He should be in no danger.
Besides, he had trained for so long. If he backed down out of fear, he could never develop the will of a strong fighter, and that wasn't what Gray wanted to see.
"If that's the case, then let me see how far I am from the top."
