Shen Le focused, steadied his breathing, and began activating the Talismans.
Copper Fragment fed back a tremendous surge of power. The advantage of engraving the Talismans directly onto the golden orb was that Shen Le no longer had to draw them over and over, as he had last time.
He had drawn one and failed, drawn another and failed again. By the end, even Lan Zhuang had learned enough from watching to draw them and cast the spells, while he was still struggling for dear life...
Now, all he needed to do was sink his awareness into the golden orb and activate the Talismans engraved on it.
To be safe, and to avoid damaging the treasures in the Studio, he had even gone outside to practice in the open courtyard:
This time, Copper Fragment had given him four Talismans at once, presumably to make up for giving him nothing last time.
Since returning from the secret realm, Shen Le hadn't found time to practice. He had only given them a quick try:
The first was indeed the flight Talisman he had been longing for.
Once activated, his whole body became extraordinarily light. A gentle breeze rose beneath his arms, lifting him into the sky, and he could move forward, backward, left, right, up, and down;
The second was also the offensive Talisman he wanted. It wasn't a fireball spell, though, but—perhaps he could call it a wind blade spell?
In short, it could gather a powerful gust of wind, either to push things away or to compress the wind into a sharp blade and slice things apart.
The third was rather remarkable: a diving Talisman, or perhaps a water-repelling Talisman.
It parted the water so he could move freely underwater, without fear even in the depths. At the very least,
