Shen Le had no idea what had burst out from the Great Snow Mountains.
He simply followed his own rhythm, visiting one power station after another, letting Little Oil Lamp gorge itself on electricity and manufacture Peach Wood Swords without restraint. After Witch Mountain Hydropower Station, he rushed from Bashu to the Three Northeastern Provinces, plunging straight toward the point where the Great Wall met the sea.
Riding along the coastline, Shen Le saw a row of enormous white wind turbines, each one planted deep in the sea, their blades turning slowly.
Blue sea, blue sky, and white turbines stretching into the distance—human effort and nature's handiwork complemented one another here, forming a breathtaking sight.
Shen Le could not resist pulling out his phone. Leaning against the car window, he snapped away furiously. Only after taking enough photos to grow aesthetically numb did he remember to ask:
"So, are we going out to sea? To one of those offshore turbines? Do we have a dedicated boat to take us there, or will the Special Affairs Bureau arrange a speedboat?"
"These turbines have dedicated maintenance vessels." The young man from the Special Affairs Bureau accompanying him had done his homework beforehand, and answered smoothly.
"But we won't need to go out to sea. Although those turbines are all huge, we're looking for the largest one—the Huaneng 18-MW Wind Turbine, the wind turbine with the world's largest single-unit capacity.
"It's at a thermal power plant. We can just go there overland—"
No boat, no speedboat. Thank goodness. Shen Le was not afraid of work, but setting out Little Oil Lamp on an unsteady speedboat and having it strike lightning onto Peach Wood Swords—
Water conducted electricity!
Seawater conducted electricity even better!
If the current reached him, he trusted Little Oil Lamp to
