What did Japan have to do with him? Other than burning down a toilet, he hadn't done anything!
Why should they ask him to go take a look just because something had happened over in Japan?
But Gu Yulin had already come knocking diligently. Not only had he come in person, he had even brought Shen Le a gift:
"My passport?" Shen Le took it and flipped through it, greatly surprised. "How come—there's even a Japanese exit stamp?"
"Of course there is." Gu Yulin smiled and ran a finger over the exit stamp. "The Special Affairs Bureau specifically sent someone over there, using your identity and documents to leave through customs normally. Luckily, they weren't stopped."
"What—" Shen Le was stunned. He had caused such a huge mess in Japan, and the Special Affairs Bureau had actually sent someone to impersonate him and leave the country?
How dangerous was that?!
The person impersonating him wasn't actually him and didn't have the ability to teleport at any moment. What if they were stopped and caught? Wouldn't that mean sacrificing a comrade for nothing?
"That comrade—"
"Oh, don't worry about that." Gu Yulin quickly winked at him, his lips moving soundlessly as he mouthed two words.
Shen Le only half understood, but he roughly guessed that the person the Special Affairs Bureau had sent might not have been human, or had some strange ability that kept them from fearing death.
He relaxed slightly, then heard Gu Yulin continue:
"Anyway, they didn't stop you, which means you can still go there through normal channels next time—or at least, after teleporting over there, you can use normal means to stay in hotels and such?"
