Shen Le circled the bronze mirror dismantled from the stone disc several times without getting any ideas. In the end, he simply put it into the Storage Box and turned to inventory the other items awaiting restoration.
As he counted them, even though he already had a rough idea of what was there, he could not help clicking his tongue in amazement:
"Wow, there's so much! This is a massive haul!"
The gains from this trip into the desert... were exceptionally abundant. Shen Le laid everything out on the workbench, filling the entire table:
"Armor... one nearly intact piece of upper-body front armor. One heavily damaged piece of upper-body back armor.
"Armor plates... uh, large and small, some intact, some broken, some rusted into lumps—there seem to be several hundred of them..."
"A small pile of metal fragments... faint patterns can still be made out, and leather material can be identified stuck to the back... possibly part of a belt..."
"Two lumps of leather... perhaps, maybe, possibly leather boots? But they're quite different in size, so the damage might just be different..."
"What's this last thing? Could it be a spearhead? Whatever, I'll restore it and find out..."
Once he counted everything up, the armor components could basically be assembled into a complete set. In other words, once they were all restored, Shen Le would have a full set of Tang army armor, complete with a weapon...
Set it up on a stand in the studio, and it could stand opposite the Red Wedding Dress, one on each side, complementing each other perfectly.
If he was in the mood later, he could even make a pair of red-and-white funerary horrors—a ghost groom and ghost bride, perhaps. The bridal trousseau procession was already there, and he could put together a wedding
