Burn it again?!
Immortal Master!
Immortal Master?!
Shen Le desperately waved his arms and kicked his legs, trying to control his "body," trying to stick out his head and look. Sure enough, the further back in time one went, the greater the chance of encountering cultivators?
This Immortal Master who had come—assuming he was real—was he the one who had placed an order with the Lu Family Porcelain Kiln to fire Soul-Calming Figurines?
Did Soul-Calming Figurines truly possess the power to calm souls?
Shen Le had endless questions he wanted to ask. Unfortunately, his motor functions and vision still had not been unlocked this time. No matter how hard Shen Le struggled, he could not move in the slightest:
He could not help wondering what state he—or perhaps part of this Porcelain Tower—was in to be so utterly helpless.
Surely he was not still a bag of Porcelain Powder in someone's arms?!
Fortunately, the conversation between the "Immortal Master," the old man, and the youth resumed at that moment. Shen Le focused his attention and listened as the old man pleaded mournfully and the "Immortal Master" paced back and forth nearby.
"My master observed the heavens at night and saw resentment soaring into the sky in the region of Mao and Bi, mixed with demonic energy. He sent me here to investigate. So someone shattered the Soul-Calming Figurines and allowed the resentment to escape... Let me take a look..."
Crunch, crunch—the sound of boots stepping over shattered porcelain circled around before finally stopping, replaced by the "Immortal Master's" muttering.
Sometimes fast, sometimes slow; sometimes high, sometimes low. His tone was exceedingly strange, as though he were reciting some scripture or incantation, or perhaps casting a spell:
After chanting for roughly two minutes, his voice suddenly rose as he shouted:
"Edict!"
