Gunfire!
Intense gunfire!
The flying swords darted through the doorway like fish, light, nimble, and nearly soundless. Yet this sword light, far beyond ordinary human comprehension, immediately provoked a violent response from the other side: "Bang! Bang bang bang bang bang!!!"
The fierce gunfire erupted like popping beans, abruptly tearing apart the hotel's silence.
At least three guns fired simultaneously from behind the door, aiming in different directions. Some impacts were dull—the sound of bullets striking the walls. Others were sharp, mixed with the shattering of glass or some other hard material.
There were also the sounds of bullets tearing through flesh, along with muffled cries. Damn it!
Their firepower was too heavy! The density of fire inside didn't even sound like handguns. They might have been using submachine guns or something similar!
Shen Le's pupils contracted sharply as true essence instinctively circulated within him. He reflexively moved away from the doorway and pressed himself against the wall, forming a hand seal.

A burst of grating, screeching noises rang out. The sharp force of metal and the steadfast power of earth were drawn forth at once. The rebar, electrical wiring, and all manner of metal materials in the corridor, walls, and floor—as well as the bullets flying toward him—twisted and pulled free as though alive.
They interwove into a dense metal mesh between Shen Le and the gunfire and explosions in the room. Then a heavy ocher glow drew in concrete, filling and covering the mesh to forge it into a solid wall.
In an instant, every bullet, fragment, and explosive shockwave that might burst out from the room was blocked outside—
Then Shen Le realized that the gunfire beyond the door had already shifted into something strange. Brief screams, the clatter of guns falling to
