The Merfolk Tribe had chosen this natural deathtrap as their territory not only because the Deep Eye Vortex served as an excellent natural defensive barrier, but also because of the Merfolk Tribe's habits.
Unlike the other races of the Star Sea, which built their territories on islands, the Merfolk Tribe was better suited to living beneath the sea. Back when the Star Sea had eight great tribes, their underwater combat strength had also been the strongest.
